Lots of things are changing in the bail industry and to keep everyone updated on what’s going on I am going to try and write more. It’s been awhile since my last post but….I’m back.
This February I am headed to Vegas for the Annual Winter Bail Conference. This PBUS Conference, (Professional Bail Agents of the United States), is being held at the Luxor Casino and it is the biggest bail bond conference in the country. If you are friends with me on Facebook, you will see pictures of last year’s Vegas trip. There are always different guest speakers to hear and seminars to attend. This year our keynote speaker is TV Journalist Nancy Grace. There are Bail Enforcement Certification Courses, meetings and updates from bondsmen around the country about what is going on in the bail industry in different states and among other things, an exhibitor hall. My favorite part of these conferences is meeting other like-minded people. I have made a ton of new friends on these trips from the East Coast and all the way to Hawaii.
Everyone who knows me, knows I love playing poker. I had the opportunity this year to organize a poker tournament at the Mandalay Bay. In case you are going to be in Vegas and are registered for the conference, come play with us. There is a $100 “bounty” on the heads of 5 players. Beth Chapman (current PBUS President), her husband Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, myself, Chris Gilliland & Sean Jones (the tournament sponsors) are those 5 players. If you can knock one of us out, you will collect our bounty.
(Our sponsors are from a company called Bail Bond Technologies. They have developed a really great bail bond management software. Check them out at http://bailbondtechnologies.com )
(If you are a bail bondsman and haven’t registered for PBUS or for this conference, time is running out but for now, the early bird specials are still available. Register at https://www.pbus.com ) All full conference registrants will have a chance to win a brand new car that will be wrapped with your custom logo/design.
Don’t forget to check back to see pictures from the conference in late February. I post most of my pictures on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/joeybond and like my business page at https://www.facebook.com/joeybondbailbonds
